1. License & Permitted Use

ClearTone is distributed free of charge for personal, professional, and commercial writing productivity under a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) architecture. You are permitted to run the executable across your Windows workstations.

⚠️ Generative AI Notice & User Verification:
ClearTone utilizes Large Language Model (LLM) inference to generate grammatical corrections, tone shifts, and concise suggestions. While engineered with strict instructions, AI outputs may occasionally contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, or contextual nuances. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all suggested revisions before applying or publishing them in official, academic, legal, or sensitive communications.

2. Early Beta Status

ClearTone is currently provided in an active Beta release. While thoroughly engineered and tested against Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, OneNote, Outlook), browsers, and Windows 10/11 apps, compatibility and text-selection behavior across non-standard Win32 or Electron applications may occasionally exhibit quirks.

3. Third-Party API Usage & Quotas

ClearTone connects directly to your personal Groq Cloud account. You are responsible for maintaining your Groq API credentials and adhering to Groq's usage guidelines and rate limits. Bossrod is not responsible for any rate limiting, API interruptions, or changes to Groq's service availability.

4. Intellectual Property & Ownership

ClearTone, its brand identity, Concept 2 Australian UI styling, and software architectures are the intellectual property of Bossrod (bossrod.com). You may not resell, repackage, or distribute modified copies containing malicious modifications.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

ClearTone is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Under no circumstances shall Bossrod or its contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use this utility.
